Anik DesLauriers explores the breath of the living through contemporary painting. Her work is rooted in the relationship between light, matter, and energy. Through intuitive gestures and vibrant layers of glaze, she seeks that fragile moment where the visible and the invisible meet : where colour becomes breath.
Her current series, Fluid Forests, evokes a space of transition: between earth and air, between form and dissolution, between the tangible world and what breathes beyond it. Each painting is a pictorial respiration, a dialogue between transparency and density, chaos and balance.
Alongside her studio practice, Anik develops wearable art collections created from her original works, combining them with digital artistry. These pieces, notably her artistic leggings, extend the painter’s gesture into the movement of the body, uniting art and daily life within the same flow of energy.
Anik lives and works in Québec. Her work stands at the crossroads of intuitive painting and contemporary research into the realm of the sensitive.
